🎯 Golf, Grit, and Growing Up: A Tale of Two Rounds
Yesterday and today, our two young golfers — brothers — each played a round that, in its own way, mirrored life itself: full of highs, lows, lessons, and a bit of heartbreak.
🏌️♂️ Round 1: The Younger Brother
He came out swinging — steady, sharp, and even led early with a score of -1 through four holes. But confidence turned into overconfidence. On the 5th hole, a misjudged approach cost him a double bogey (+2). The next hole, a short miss due to frustration. By the 9th, a great drive was followed by four shots to cover just 32 yards. Final score: +4 over nine holes.
🏌️♂️ Round 2: The Older Brother
Today it was big brother’s turn. Things went south fast — +6 through just three holes. Six lost balls later, he wrapped up the round with a +13. But here’s where it gets interesting.
🧠 The Real Lesson
On paper, both scores were far from ideal. Yet, only the younger brother received tough criticism. Why? Because his round was a story of overestimating ability, then unraveling emotionally when setbacks hit. The older brother, in contrast, started poorly but never gave up. He made smart adjustments, stayed composed, and ended up making the most Pars in the field. No comeback miracle — just quiet persistence.
💡 Life Reflected Through Golf
Whether it’s golf, work, parenting, or life itself, isn’t this the truth? Results matter, yes. But in this finite journey, we’re all part of an infinite game. True success isn’t defined by winning or losing — it’s measured by resilience, effort, humility in victory, and grace in defeat.
So here’s to the ones who keep showing up, round after round.
